• Selected 300 random word pairs having obviously related meanings
  • Result: word pairs were found in close proximity in Genesis but not in control texts
  • Odds of this occurring by chance are less than 1 in 50 quadrillion!
  • Odds of less than 1 in 20 are considered significant in most scientific journals

In the first published study, 300 pairs of related words (such as "table" and "chair") were chosen at random. The related words tended to be found close together, to a degree far beyond what would be expected by chance.
